Me Likee Cheesy TeeVee

So I was pretty highly entertained with Lost last night. Yeah, I know, cornball tv, but at least it's imaginative cornball tv. And all you people whining about how annoying it is because they just bring up more mysterious things without answering any questions? Go watch Springer re-runs if you want predictability. Some trashy chick will get pissed at some other slutty chick and pull her hair, all because of some dude with a mullet boning both of them. There's your predictability. Book it.

All of the impending doom talk here in Austin in regards to Rita is starting to wear a bit thin, too. Apparently there's been a massive run on bottled water, with some stored jacking up the price to more than $10/gallon. Amazingly enough, every map in the city has been left untouched. Sorry, doomsday kids, but we're 200+ miles from the coast. Yes, indeed, very windy and very rainy for a few days, and undoubtedly some power outages due to tree limbs coming down, but sweet Jebus, everything's going to be copacetic.

Aye, the grump force is very strong in this one today.

disclaimer - i hate television. never watch it. but a friend forced me to watch the season one dvd of the show. and i sadly got into it, despite some issues.

i was wondering why hurley isn't losing weight after all this time. i've decided it's clearly because he's feeding on the corpses.

I missed too much of the first season to get into last nights show.. tried tho... no good.

Rita, last I heard, is tracking too far east to bother Austin much... however.. the traffic and the lack of water, gas, bread, canned goods, et al, at all the grocery stores, is annoying...

I felt compelled to fill my tank, just incase we actually do run out of gas.. I know some gas stations have....

Fill your tank so you don't have to pay $4 a gallon, because the futures will go sky high again...

I saw on CNN how a guy got 45 miles in 13 HOURS because of traffic in Houston. I think I'd rather be killed in a hurricane than sit in my car that went 45 miles in 13 hours.

I watched Lost season 1 all at once too (thank you TV torrents) and I got hooked. Hurley is one of the funniest characters on TV though. Corpse feeding or not. Actually, funnier if he is.
