Back in the Poker Saddle

Had a moderately successful return to the 15/30 tables last night. For some reason I have the bad habit of immediately digging myself a hole sometimes when I return to the poker grind, which I thankfully managed to avoid this time. Managed to get a solid 4 hours in, which is just about all I can handle these days.

I need to get back into the daily habit of dredging through 2+2 for posted hands and discussion, etc. I can't say I'm a big fan of the general tone/implementation/interface of the site, but being able to get assorted views on how to play certain hands is pretty invaluable, especially when you identify the posters who know what the hell they're talking about.

Not much of interest to relate today. No Power Punchers, no exploding watermelons, no kids beating up their fat older brothers.

Boo, me.

Agreed, 2+2 is definitely great for looking at opinions on how to play tough hands.

Participating in discussion there is often a different matter, though. It's just far too "clique-ish" there and often posters are too "nitty".

I find being a lurker is the better way to go at 2+2. Get the best they have to offer and avoid the worst of the experience...
