Focus, Daniel-San, Focus...

Poker-wise, I've been all over the damn place lately. It's partly my own fault, as I haven't had as much time for the cards and the chips and the poker lately, so I end up running around willy and/or nilly, clearing a chunk of a bonus here, playing a MTT over there, mindlessly grinding out a Party reload, etc. It also doesn't help that I'm still doing the slightly schizophrenic split schedule, where 25% of my play is at 10/20 and the remaining 75% is grinding out bonuses at lower limits.

For some reason I enjoy causing myself pain, so I've been playing 2-7 Triple Draw on UB to clear my bonus there. Sweet merciful Jebus. That game is more frustrating than Razz at times, and I didn't think that was possible. I got my monkey arse handed to me playing 2/4 last night, at a short table where two of the monkeys would cap every hand pre-flop, and then both draw 4 cards the first round. That should be a recipe for a profitable session but I kept getting stuck with second best hands and they kept getting there, leaving me about -$200 for the session when I finally threw in the towel. Sweet...

I also played the Stud Bracelet Race satellite on Futile Bonus Tilt last night, which was a complete waste of $24. I got kneecapped pretty early when my straight went down in flames to a runner runner flush, and then the rapidly escalating blinds ate me up. Finished 80th or so. Sweet...

I did, though, manage to make it to Step 4 at Party in the WSOP Step SnGs. After toiling for forever in Step 1 I managed to run the table in three straight, winning to go to Step 2, winning the next one to go to Step 3, then winning that one to go to Step 4. I wish I could say it was due to my mad skillz but good lord, I was laying some monstrous suckout wood on people. Especially in the last one, as I was outchipped about 10-1 when it was heads-up and just started pushing with any two cards. Five hands in a row I had no better than 10 high and I won four, splitting one. Umm, sure, okay, I'll take it.

Many thanks to everyone who've stopped by to kick the tires at BonusBug.com. 'Tis very much a work in progress but I'll be fleshing it out a bit every day, especially on the forum side.

Good luck at Step 4. Step 2 has been a bear for me. I've killed Step 1 so many freakin times, but I keep bubbling at Step 2. Oh well, at least I can loop.

Had a buddy go heads up at Step 6. He ended up losing when the dude had a worse hand, but filled a flush with 4 clubs on the board and one in the hole. Ouch!
